Wigy ("we", "us", or "our") is an AI-powered hairstyle preview app that lets you upload a photo
and virtually try on different hairstyles and hair colors. We respect your privacy and are
committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we
collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Information We Collect
Photos You Upload
When you use the app, you choose a photo from your device to generate hairstyle previews.
Your photo is sent to our AI processing provider (Google Gemini via Vercel AI Gateway) to
generate the transformed image.
- We do not permanently store your uploaded photos or generated results on our servers.
Processed images are returned to your device and are not retained by us after generation.
Local Device Data
- The app stores data locally on your device (such as your remaining credit balance and
preferences) using your device's built-in storage.
- This data never leaves your device.
Purchase Information
If you buy additional credits, the transaction is processed by Apple's App Store via RevenueCat.
We receive limited purchase data (such as entitlement status) needed to grant your credits.
We do not receive or store your full payment card details — those are handled entirely by
Apple.
Usage Analytics
- We do not collect analytics, tracking data, or usage statistics about you.
2. How We Use Your Information
To process your photo and generate AI hairstyle previews.
To manage your credit balance and in-app purchases.
To provide and maintain the app's core functionality.
We do not use your data to build advertising profiles, sell or rent your data, or track you across
other apps or websites.
3. Data Sharing
Providers:
- Google Gemini (via Vercel AI Gateway): AI image generation; uploaded photo (temporarily, not
retained).
RevenueCat: In-app purchase management; purchase entitlement data.
Apple App Store: Payment processing.
4. Data Retention
- Uploaded photos and generated images are processed in real time and are not stored on our
servers after generation.
Local device data persists until you uninstall the app.
Purchase records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat according to their policies.
5. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, delete, withdraw consent, or lodge a
complaint. Since we do not maintain user accounts or store your photos, most personal data is
either never collected or exists only on your device.
6. Children's Privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information
from children.
7. Security
We use reasonable industry-standard security measures, but no transmission method is
completely secure.
